The church of las lajas has been built on a bridge. Its altar is made of the rock itself.

carnival procession in Ipiales, 5 kms off the  ecuadorian border.
The Páramo in the Park of Chingaza
The Park of Chingaza is an almost deserted mesa, 3500m above sea-level, only a few kilometers away from the capital of Bogota.
Up here you can find the frailejones with its donkey-ear like soft leaves.
The lagoons were sacred to the indians and home of various gods and creatures.
